How do you price a house cleaning?
We use flat rates based on bedrooms, bathrooms, square footage and the type of clean, so you see the full price before you book. A standard clean starts at $129 for a 1-bedroom home, and a typical 3-bed, 2-bath home under 2,500 sq ft is $209. Deep cleans start at $209 and move-in/move-out cleans at $239. What is included in a standard clean?
Every room gets dusted, floors vacuumed and mopped, and trash emptied. In the kitchen we clean counters, sink, stovetop, appliance exteriors and the microwave; in bathrooms, the toilet, tub, shower, sink, mirrors and floors. Inside the oven, fridge and cabinets, interior windows, baseboards and laundry are add-ons from $25 to $45. The full list is on our cleaning checklist.
Are your cleaners insured and background-checked?
Yes. BrighterHome is fully insured and bonded, and our cleaners are background-checked, trained employees.
Will I get the same cleaner every time?
For recurring service we aim to send the same cleaner or team each visit, so they learn your home and your preferences. If your regular cleaner is out, we will let you know ahead of time who is coming instead.
Do I need to be home during the cleaning?
No. Many clients are at work or out for the day. Just make sure we can get in, and let us know about alarms, pets or rooms to skip.
How do you get in if I am not home?
Most clients give us a garage or door code, a lockbox code or a key. Access details are stored securely in your account notes and shared only with the team assigned to your clean. We lock up and close the garage when we leave.
How much do I save with recurring cleaning?
Recurring visits are 20% off weekly, 15% off every two weeks and 10% off monthly. For a 3-bed, 2-bath home under 2,500 sq ft, that is $167.20, $177.65 or $188.10 per visit instead of $209. See recurring cleaning.
Is there a contract?
No. There are no contracts. You can change your frequency, pause or cancel recurring service at any time, as long as you give the notice described in our cancellation policy.
What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
Our policy: please give at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a cleaning. Cancellations or reschedules with less than 48 hours’ notice, or if we cannot get into the home at the scheduled time, may be charged a $50 late-cancellation fee. You can reschedule from your confirmation email or by contacting us.
